AN OPEN LETTER TO THE FILIPINO PEOPLE: An Appeal to Common Sense Regarding Forced Vaccinations

For these past twenty (20) months, we have lived in the shadow of the dreaded COVID-19 virus. Loved ones have fallen ill, been hospitalized, died. Schools and businesses have closed. People have lost their jobs. We all are grieving for all that we have lost and will never regain. We are all anxious to get out of this pandemic and to resume a normal way of life. We all want to live free from the fear of illness and disease.

The Philippine government is offering vaccination against COVID-19 as the way out of this pandemic. Yet instead of fully informing us of all the risks, benefits, and costs and giving us the freedom to choose, the government is now forcing practically all Filipinos to get vaccinated, without exception.

Those of us who choose to remain unvaccinated are being bullied and threatened. We are vilified as spreaders of COVID-19, accused of being selfish and irresponsible, demonized as anti-vaxxers and conspiracy theorists. We are being banned from public spaces, forced to get tested at our own expense, prevented from receiving 4Ps subsidies and other entitlements under the law.

Yet is there really a substantial difference between the vaccinated and unvaccinated? By the government’s own admission, both the vaccinated and unvaccinated can transmit COVID-19, be infected with COVID-19, and suffer severe infection and even die from COVID-19. In fact, some of the most highly vaccinated countries in the world are still experiencing COVID-19 surges.

These facts are well documented and have even been the subject of newspaper headlines. There is no factual or scientific basis for discriminating against the unvaccinated.

Just to be clear, we are not anti-vaccine. What we are against is mandatory vaccination of the COVID-19 vaccines. Forced vaccination is rape of our body, soul, and spirit. We insist on free and informed choice that is based on full disclosure of the adverse effects of the COVID-19 vaccines, and our constitutionally protected human right to choose what kind of drugs and vaccines will be injected into our bodies.

Article III, Section 1 of the Philippine Constitution expressly provides that “no person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law, nor shall any person be denied the equal protection of the laws.” The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), which the Philippines has acceded to, provides that every human being has the inherent right to life, and that no one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his life. (Article 6.1)

The ICCPR also provides that no one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment, particularly medical or scientific experimentation without his/her free consent. (Article 7)

Everyone shall also have the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion (Article 18.1), and no one shall be subject to coercion which would impair his freedom of thought and belief (Article 18.2.). These fundamental rights cannot be sacrificed or compromised even during times of public emergencies. (Article 4.2)

Are we unreasonable and selfish in refusing to be vaccinated? Consider the following:
• All the COVID-19 vaccines currently being administered by the Philippine government are still experimental in nature. (Rep. Act No. 11525, Section 2c) They have not yet completed Stage III clinical trials, and thus their authorization is only for emergency use.

• Based on official WHO statistics, the COVID-19 vaccines have generated more than 2.5 million reports of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) worldwide within this past year. In one year alone, the frequency and severity of these ADRs have already outpaced the cumulative ADRs reported for twenty-two (22) other vaccines and drugs (e.g., measles vaccine, polio vaccine, penicillin, ivermectin) which have been in existence for more than thirty (30) years. • From March 1 to November 14, 2021, the Philippine Food and Drug Authority (PFDA) has documented 74,955 case reports of 163,935 suspected adverse reactions to the COVID-19 vaccines. Out of these cases, 3,741 are serious (e.g., myocarditis, pericarditis, capillary leak syndrome, Guillain-Barre syndrome, Bell’s palsy) and have led to hospitalization, permanent injury, and even death.

Notwithstanding this data, the government is forcing mandatory vaccination through the issuance and implementation of IATF Resolution No. 148-B, series of 2021. To add insult to injury, Section 8 of Rep. Act No. 11525 states that in cases of injury or death resulting from the COVID-19 vaccines, no one can be held responsible.

All those who are involved in the COVID-19 vaccination program – from vaccine manufacturers to public officials to volunteers – are immune from suit and liability under Philippine laws. And while Rep. Act No. 11525 does establish an indemnity fund to pay for such claims, the maximum amount that can be claimed from PhilHealth is One Hundred Thousand Pesos (PhP100,000), whether for death or permanent disability. We personally know of family members, friends, neighbors, and fellow Filipinos who have been injured and even died from the COVID-19 vaccines. We do not want to suffer the same fate.

Moreover, with the mass vaccinations all over the world, what is now unfolding is a pandemic of the vaccinated. The vaccinated now dominate the numbers of the sick and the hospitalized because the spike proteins in the vaccines are destroying people’s natural immunity.

Data from John Hopkins University shows that globally, spikes in infections and deaths occur shortly after vaccination. A recent study of 185 countries shows that the most vaccinated countries are experiencing the most deaths. Taiwan has announced that the COVID-19 vaccines have killed more of their citizens than COVID-19 itself. The most vaccinated nations and places are now the sickest and most tragic. We must not allow that to happen here.

How then do we protect ourselves from the deadly COVID-19 virus if not through vaccination? Consider the following:
• The recovery rate for COVID-19 is very high. Based on the official DOH statistics, 97.7% of those who are infected with COVID-19 survive and recover! The COVID-19 mortality rate is only 1.71%. (DOH COVID-19 Philippine Situationer) Arguably, there is no real public health emergency and reason for the continuing lockdowns.
• COVID-19 deaths are predominantly due to age, co-morbidities, compromised immune systems, or ineffective treatment protocols.
• There are already existing protocols that have been tried and tested by Filipino doctors and healers for the effective prevention and early treatment of COVID-19. (e.g., LAMMP COVID-19 Home Care Guide)
• People who survive COVID-19 infections emerge from it with natural immunity that is stronger and more protective than vaccine-induced immunity. (April 2021 Goldberg-Mandel study, Israel.)
• The province of Uttar Pradesh in India, which has a population of 240 million people, was able to conquer COVID-19 using Ivermectin.
• The best defense against COVID-19 and all other diseases is a strong immune system that is supported by proper nutrition and diet, and a healthy lifestyle.

Given that there are safe and viable alternatives to the COVID-19 vaccines, should we risk our lives and those of the ones we love? Can we, in good conscience, subject our children, members of our family, our friends, neighbors, colleagues, our fellow Filipinos to these horrific risks?

All of us, most especially our children, should all be given the opportunity to live our lives in good health, free of the side effects of the COVID-19 vaccines.

We call on all Filipinos, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, to open their eyes to the truth. COVID-19 is not as deadly as we fear it to be. There are safe and effective alternatives to the COVID-19 vaccines. And we do not have to sacrifice human rights and fundamental freedoms to beat COVID-19.

Working together with focused protection, safe early treatments, and strengthened natural immunity, we can restore a genuinely free and healthy new normal, and emerge from this COVID-19 pandemic as a stronger, more resilient people united under God.
